Insert prestripped (thick jacket 18# or 16#) or unstripped (18# or 20#) wires firmly into holes. (prestripped wires should not exceed 3/8" of exposed wire).
Look at the inside of the wings and make sure all 3 wires are against the wall of the connector. Squeeze the wings to the closed and locked position: You will hear the "SNAP" when the lock engages.
Additional Tools Required: None.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LV 9000:
Strip wires 3/4" and group bare wire ends together. Do not pre-twist solid wire. Pre-twist stranded wire. If using both wire types, wrap stranded wire around solid wires (see illustration 1A).
Insert wires through flexible sealing fingers and bend wires into either "V-Channel".
Push inner sleeve into pre-filled outer sleeve until double-locked. Pre-filled silicone fully waterproofs the connection. Do not reuse connector.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LV 9500:
Strip wires 1" and group bare wire ends together. Do not pre-twist solid wire. Pre-twist stranded wire. If using both wire types, wrap stranded wire around solid wires (see 1A).
Insert wires through flexible sealing fingers and bend wires into one "V-Channel". For large wires or large combinations, use the "V-Channel" with round hole at bottom (see 2b); pull wires into hole below "V". To bend heavy solid wires, use bending sleeve / depth gauge on outer sleeve of connector.
Push inner sleeve into pre-filled outer sleeve until double-locked. Pre-filled silicone fully waterproofs the connection. Do not reuse.
